In the USA, it VERY CLEARLY states the catalytic converter AND the diesel particle filter are covered for 8 yrs/80k miles, i contacted VW Canada by email, I was told that the DPF is covered for 8 years or 130.000KM in Canada, i have 93500 KM on the car,correct, so it is still under warranty, case closed i was also told that i have to take the Posted 20 March, 2010. The 2.0TDI has never been used in a MK1 Octy. IMHO it is easier to find out whether it has a DPF than to find out whether it has 16 or 8 valves. In Germany the DPF can be found in the cars documents. Or just look for the car sticker and look for the engine code.

I would imagine its dependant on type of mileage and over what period ,mine is taxi so fairly high miles covered quickly - change oil and filter approx 6/7 k and fuel filter about every 4th or 5th oil change . Posted 27 April, 2017. Skoda usually quote 60k for the furl filter.

I had to drive through 2 feet water yesterday in my octy in the middle of night. After few meters car started like coughing. Somehow I made it to home and opened the air filter box and found it soaked. Should I just dry and clean the filter and put it back or should I do something else. I love my car.
