1. jack up your car and place on jack stands front and rear (if you only have two jackstands then jack up the back two wheels first. 2. open your brake fluid reservoir. 3. fill up your brake bleeder with new brake fluid, make sure you have the bleeder at least half way full to make sure you don't start pumping air into your brake system.
Common Oil Leak Sources. I have a 2001 330i AT with 83,000 miles. It was leaking oil from the valve cover gasket and I replaced that last night. I thought I fixed the problem until I dropped the engine undertray. The whole engine was pretty well soaked in oil, the power steering tubes, etc. I don't believe it is a power steering leak as it is oil. What oil does a 2019 BMW 330i take? After lifting the car: 1-Sprayed both of the bolts with anti greaser and dried them with a cloth. 2-Loosen the one on top as you recommended, (oil was coming in black colour). 3-Loosen the one below and drain all oil. 4-Then I loosen the front jack then both jacks to get the all oil out and tighten the below bolt.
I poked around the other forums and only found brake fluid capacities for e39s (~.75L) and on the 5 series forum. I would assume it is close to the same as the e39 but I want to be sure so I don't get halfway through the job and realize I'm stuck!! Thanks in advance  BMWCCA Member# 451235. I have the dealer change my oil every 10k and I plan on changing the trans fluid at 150 or 200k miles. The BMW dealer in Austin Tx seems fairly reasonable for oil changes and offers 20% off if you go on Saturday. I've also looked at going to the dealer in San Antonio but they tend to give out several different prices and can be twice as high.

330i Maintenance Schedule. Thinking about moving up into a 330i with around 50-60k miles. I was wondering what service should be done around this mileage, or in its near future, such as timing belt/chain or water pump, ect? Any input would be appreciated. Just trying to gauge what I might be getting into.

Hi Nick, Reading through online posts I'm think that changing the Rear Diff. Oil on my E46 320i auto tourer may solve an issue I have: I keep hearing an intermittent humming sound that lasts 1-2 seconds then dissappears - like i'm driving over road markings at the side of a freeway.

BMW MTF LT2 has been great for me. Smooth shifts at all temps and no grinding. I also use the BMW diff fluid. No complaints at all with either one except price.. but you really don't need to change them very often. Always use a new crush washer on the diff plugs. The 2006 BMW 330i oil type is SAE 5W-40 and the engine has a capacity of 5 quarts of motor oil. Full synthetic is the preferred blend, but getting a motor oil specifically for European cars is a smart move to improve lubrication and performance. Table of Contents show.
Thank you. For 2 reasons: you can change the separator without removing the intake manifold. It's a pain, but do-able. And second being the difficulty level of the job of removing the manifold.
